From the earliest days of our Touch of Love Youth Club, one young person has quietly yet powerfully embodied what it means to grow in confidence, kindness, and purpose, Mary Rita.
She joined us as a bright-eyed teenager, eager to learn, to serve, and to be part of something meaningful. Over the years, we’ve watched her blossom into a remarkable young woman whose warmth and leadership have touched everyone she’s met.
Today, we couldn’t be prouder to share her latest milestone: Mary Rita has begun her university journey, studying Biomedical Sciences at Glasgow University! ✨
But her story is about so much more than academic success. It’s about perseverance, community, and the transformative power of believing in oneself. Through every youth meeting, every outreach, and every shared laugh, Mary Rita has grown, learning to lead with empathy, to speak with confidence, and to encourage others to find their own voice.
Within our 16+ group, she became a steady presence, the kind of young leader who lifts others up, guides her peers with patience, and leads not by instruction, but by example. Whether coordinating a group activity, mentoring younger members, or offering a listening ear, she radiated the very essence of Touch of Love: compassion in action.
Mary Rita’s journey reminds us why we invest in young people, because when they are nurtured in love, they grow into changemakers who carry that love into the wider world. Her next chapter at Glasgow University is not an end, but a continuation of her story, one that began right here in a community built on kindness and belonging.
💛 Congratulations, Mary Rita! We celebrate not just your achievement, but the heart you’ve shown every step of the way. You carry with you the spirit of Touch of Love, and we know you’ll continue to shine, inspire, and make a difference wherever life takes you.
The entire Touch of Love family is cheering you on, today and always. 🌼
